Synopsis

From the director of the Oscar winning film, SPIRITED AWAY, Hayao Miyazaki's latest animated feature is based on the book of the same name by Welsh novelist, Diana Wynne Jones. HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE is a fairytale fantasy which tells the story of Sophie (Emily Mortimer), a young girl trapped in an old-woman's body (voiced by Jean Simmons) by an evil sorcerer's spell.

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE has recently had the biggest opening ever for a film in Japan and recently played to great acclaim at the 2004 Venice Film Festival. A distinguished cast of actors voice this English language version directed by Pixar's Peter Docter (MONSTERS, INC) and Disney's Rick Dempsey.
