Synopsis
The Hotel Splendide is a crumbling, dilapidated health farm with a highly unappetising regime and a truly oddball clientele. Into this strange world returns Kath, the head chef's former lover and assistant who five years earlier had left the hotel under mysterious circumstances. With emotions running high behind the peeling façade, a gastronomical competition is decided to be the only way to set things straight. But this sure-fire plan for disaster soon becomes a recipe for love.
A romantic comedy with a spectacularly bizarre setting, HOTEL SPLENDIDE stars Toni Collette (THE SIXTH SENSE, MURIEL'S WEDDING), Daniel Craig (LOVE IS THE DEVIL, SOME VOICES), Stephen Tompkinson (BRASSED OFF) and Katrin Cartlidge (NAKED, TOPSY TURVY). The film was written and directed by Terence Gross, who previously made the award winning short THE SIN EATER.
