Synopsis

Bill Ressler, a college tax professor moonlights as a girl's basketball coach at Roosevelt High School. Following Coach Ressler around is Seattle filmmaker Ward Serrill. Little did he know that he was about to embark on an incredible 7-year project filming the ups and downs of Coach Resslers' activites.

At the centre of the film is Darnellia. A highly talented basketball player and tough inner-city girl her personal life story and determination to overcome huge setbacks to battle her way to victory as a member of The Roosevelt Roughriders girl's basketball team is documented in THE HEART OF THE GAME.
