Synopsis

Returning for his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry finds his integrity is on the line when he realises the vast majority of the wizardry community has been led to believe that his recent battle with Lord Voldemort is a lie.

Then another problem arises with the appointment of a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher by the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge (Robert Hardy) - the duplicitous Professor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton). Her Ministry approved course is totally inadequate against the Dark forces threatening the young wizards.

With the encouragement of Hermoine and Ron, Harry organises secret meetings for a select group of fellow students to prepare them in their defence against the Dark Arts. Calling themselves Dumbledore's Army they courageous train for an extraordinary battle is brewing on the horizon.

Based on the novel by J K Rowling, HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX is the fifth film in the series to be released and is directed by David Yates, who will also direct the sixth in the series, HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE due to be released 21 November 2008 in both the UK and the USA.
