Synopsis
Deep in Antarctica in the great nation of Emperor Penguins you're nobody unless you can sing. Unfortunately for Mumble (Elijah Wood) he's the worst singer in the world. Born dancing to his own tune he is very gifted instead at tap dancing! While his dad (Hugh Jackman) says it "just ain't penguin", mom's (Nicole Kidman) motherly love accepts it but both know Mumble may find true love elusive without a Heartsong. Reactions are mixed in the Emperor Penguin community. While his best friend Gloria (Brittany Murphy) who's also an exceptional singer tries to accept Mumble for who he is, Noah the elder (Hugo Weaving) their leader cast him out into the wilderness.
Now on his own he comes upon a posse of different penguins - the Adelie Amigos led by Ramon (Robin Williams) who are bowled over by Mumble's cool dance moves. Joining up with them he sets out on an epic adventure and learns that by being true to yourself you can make a difference in the world.
Directed by George Miller (BABE: PIG IN THE CITY) HAPPY FEET is set to a vibrant soundtrack from artists Prince, Yolanda Adams, Fantasia Barrino, Gia Farrell, Chrissie Hynde, Patti LaBelle, kd lang, Jason Mraz and Pink as well as the tap dancing talent of Savion Glover.
