Synopsis

18 year-old Delia Fratila (Andreea Bosneag) comes from a poor family living in a small Romanian town. Imagine her surprise when she wins a luxury car in a nationwide drink manufacture’s competition and gets to star in their advertising promotion.

Arriving in Bucharest with her family for the filming, Delia’s day turns from and exciting lifetime opportunity to one of misery. As the day wears on and in between shoots, Delia discusses with her mum (Violeta Haret) and dad (Vasile Muraru) what to do with the car. While she wants to keep it, her parents’ plan would be to sell it and escape their poverty stricken life.

As neither side will give way, the arguments escalate and what had initially seemed to be a chance of a better life for Delia, manifests in to a hugely troubling emotional experience that results in her questioning her relationship with her family.
