Synopsis

It's Christmas Eve and a huge blizzard has just shut down the airport, threatening to ruin the holiday plans of those stranded there. Two unaccompanied minors or 'UMs' also affected are siblings Spencer (Dyllan Christopher) and Katherine (Dominique Saldana) who are directed to a holding area along with all the other UMs. But staff have a near-riot on their hands there and Spencer makes a run for freedom along with four other Ums. All with wildly different personalities they are: spoiled rich girl Grace (Gina Mantegna), trailer park tomboy Donna (Quinn Shephard), academic overachiever Charlie (Tyler James Williams) and comic book geek Timothy Wellington (Brett Kelly).

However the airport's peevish passenger official Oliver Porter (Lewis Black) and his lackey assistant Zach Van Bourke (Wilmer Valderrama) backed up by every airport security guard are hot on their trails so the errant UMs quickly band together, discarding their differences and instead help each other to flee and outwit airport security.

Meanwhile Katherine and the other UMs have been relocated to the nearest hotel until the storm passes. But Spencer is determined to reunite with his little sister and let her enjoy her unspoiled vision of Santa Claus delivering her a present come true. Organising his fellow runaway UMs their determination to outwit Oliver and his crew turns the airport into holiday pandemonium and along the way prove that holidays aren't about where you are but who you're with.
