Synopsis

GO FOR IT! is an inspirational Hip Hop dance drama that centers on Carmen Salgado (Aimee Garcia), a young woman living in Chicago. She would love to dance professionally, but her Mexican working class parents want her to stay at school and continue her studies. Then there’s her boyfriend Jared (Derrick Denicola), who wants her to move in with him; and her best friend Gina (Gina Rodriguez), who’s is being knocked around by her boyfriend. With all these pressures, Carmen is slowly sinking under the weight and at the same time struggling to overcome her fears and follow her dream to be a dancer.

Written and directed by Carmen Marron and starring Aimee Garcia.
