Synopsis

GHOST WORLD tells the story of two very unusual teenagers facing the uncertainty of life after hight school: 'Losers', 'Satanists', and 'Freaks' are some of the people that infect everyday lives of Enid (Thora Birch) and Rebecca (Scarlett Johansson) providing them with a constant source of amusement. As they attempt to carry their life long friendship into a new era, the careful dynamics of their inseparable bond are jolted and what seemed like a future of endless possibilities looks more like an encroaching reality of strip malls, low-paying service and fading memories.

Granada Film and United Artists Films in association with Jersey Shore and Advanced Medien present a Mr. Mudd production. A Terry Zwigoff film, GHOST WORLD is based on a comic book by Daniel Clowes and written by Daniel Clowes and Terry Zwigoff.
