Synopsis

The Italian town of Genova provides a fresh start for Joe (Colin Firth) and his two young daughters, 16 year-old Kelly (Willa Holland) and 10 year-old Mary (Perla Haney-Jardine). They are a family seeking to rebuild new lives after the sudden death of their mother, Marianne (Hope Davis) who was killed in a car accident and Joe has accepted the opportunity to take up a teaching position at the university there.

While Kelly, explores this mysterious new world and easily makes new friends, Mary, is increasingly missing her mother and is often thinking of her. Then Mary starts to see her mother and tells her family that she has just seen the ghost of her mother wandering the streets of Genova...
