Synopsis

"One couple out of excuses.
Two sets of divorced parents.
Three years without a holiday visit.
Four Christmases. His father, her mother, his mother and her father all in one day."

Escaping the Christmas break is what Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) traditionally do every year. Happily unmarried, they quit ditching their crazy families for a relaxing, fun-filled vacation in some sunny exotic locale, sipping margaritas and toasting the season while relaxing by a pool.

But not this yea when a blanket of fog descends and cancels every outbound flight from San Francisco airport. Then to make matters worse and completely foil their planned escape, they are caught on camera by a local news crew, revealing their whereabouts to the whole city...and to their families. With no excuses, their worst nightmare becomes a reality and they are now expected home by Brad's father.

And Kate's mother. And Brad's mother. And Kate's father.
Four Christmases in one day.
