Synopsis

"No rules. No hope, No way out."

Convicted on involuntary manslaughter when he kills a burglar in his house, Wade Porter (Stephen Dorff) sees his happy family life shattered as he is sent to 3 years inprisonment in a maximum security facility.

With a cell mate, John Smith (Val Kilmer), who's a mass murderer and the victim of premeditated beatings organised by chief prison guard Lt Jackson (Harold Perrineau), Wade realizes only the strongest felon will survive.
