Synopsis

Los Angeles - 1920's. A young immigrant girl called Alexandria (Catinca Untaru) is taken to hospital when she has an accident. Recovering from her fall, she makes friends with another patient, a bedridden man called Roy Walker (Lee Pace).

With time on their hands, Roy tells Alexandria an unusual story, one of fantasy that captivates her imagination relieving the daily boredom of being in hospital. Making sure he keeps the girl interested in the story he interweaves her family and people she likes from the hospital into his tale.

Produced and directed by Tarsem Singh with a screenplay by Dan Gilroy, Nico Soultanakis and Tarsem. Starring Lee Pace and Catina Untaru.
