Synopsis

Winner of the Audience Award at the 2006 Rotterdam Film Festival, EDEN is a touching comedy about love and erotic cuisine! Eden, a married woman, falls under the spell of the "Cucina Erotica" of eccentric master chef Gregor. Their platonic gourmet meetings in Gregor's kitchen jolt both parties out of their monotonous everyday lives - Eden's marriage blossoms as a result and Gregor is soon cooking better then ever. But their strong friendship is judged to be something more by the local townsfolk and when Eden's husband Xaver experiences the "erotic cuisine" for himself, he is forced to take action or else lose his wife.

Written and directed by Michael Hofmann (SOPHIIIIE!), EDEN stars Charlotte Roche in the title role, a renowned pop-icon and TV presenter in Germany. Josef Ostendorf co-stars as the heavy-set master chef Gregor, alongside Devid Striesow who plays Eden's long-suffering husband Xaver.
