Synopsis

The last film in director Michelangelo Antonioni's trilogy (L'AVVENTURA AND LA NOTTE being the other two), L'ECLISSE won the Special Jury Prize at the 1962 Cannes Film Festival. Filmed in black and white the film's narrative centres on the love affair between Vittoria (Monica Vitti) and extrovert Piero (Alain Delon) but it is not so much the action that counts as the events and non-events with which it is interspersed.
