Recently strange things have been happening late at night in his house and he's unsure whether its nightmares he suffering from or his house is haunted.

Volunteering to help out at his town's annual international literary book festival, Michael meets the attractive Lena Morelle (Iben Hjejle). An author of books about ghosts and the supernatural, Michael tells her of his experiences and they become friendly as he seeks her advice.

However, Lena was invited to the festival by world-renowned novelist Nicholas Holden (Aidan Quinn), with whom she had a brief affair the previous year. He has fallen in love with Lena and is ready to leave his wife for her. Lena on the other hand is trying to disentangle herself from this mess and survive the next few days.

As the festival progresses, the paths of these three people draw them into a life-altering collision.

Embellished by the supernatural, THE ECLIPSE is a film about the challenges of love, fear of the unknown and release from the burden of grief.
