Synopsis

DIMINISHED CAPACITY is a delightfully poignant and bittersweet comedy that poses the question: How much is a good memory worth?

Written and directed by accomplished actor Terry Kinney, that's the question on newspaper editor Cooper (Matthew Broderick) lips after suffering from the debilitating effects of concussion. Looking for answers, he returns home to Missouri and finds his senile Uncle Rollie (Alan Alda) is on the point of losing his home.

When they come by a valuable baseball card, Cooper and his uncle are joined by an assortment of friends, including Cooper's high school sweetheart Charlotte (Virginia Madsen), as they head to a memorabilia expo to make the deal of a century.
