Synopsis

Promising college student Maya (Rasario Dawson) has the world at her feet. Beautiful and with a promising future she meets Jared (Chad Faust) at a party. They start going out together and Jared inviters her back to his place. Passions quickly escalate as the evening progresses and while for Maya things are moving to fast, Chad savours her struggle as she tries to pull away and he won't let go.

Brutally date raped, Maya withdraws from her world until she visits an underground club and meets bartender-cum-DJ Adrian (Marcus Patrick). Increasingly drawn into this new scene she begins to heal from within and returns to a new semester transformed.

When she next crosses paths with Jared he's still the same charmer but takes no notice of her. This galvanises her into action. She wants to meet him again but this time on her own terms and on her own turf...
