Synopsis

DEMONLOVER is Olivier Assayas's (IRMA VEP, LES DESTINeES) breathtaking vision of our modern global world. On the surface, the film follows Diane de Monx (Connie Nielsen), a corporate mole who in trying to undermine a deal between two multinational conglomerates uncovers a link between one of the companies and an interactive torture website known as "The Hellfire Club."

However, she is challenged every step of the way by her amoral colleague Herve Le Millinec (Charles Berling), an antagonistic and mysterious assistant Elise Lipsky (Chloe Sevigny) and an outspoken, pot-smoking American executive Elaine Si Gibril (Gina Gershon).

Brilliantly shot by Denis Lenoir and featuring an original soundtrack by Sonic Youth, the film captures a culture spiraling out of control in which reality is posited as a video game and where every twist escalates the film to a new level.
