Synopsis

Following straight on from DEATH NOTE, with all the main cast and crew returning to give the story its second chapter, DEATH NOTE: THE LAST NAME finds student Light (Tatsuya Fujiwara) is still at large with the Death Note book, dispensing with enemies by writing their name on its pages.

Taking steps to conceal his identity even more, Light joins forces with the elite team trying to track him down, putting him on the same side as both his father and eccentric super-detective 'L' (Kenichi Matsuyama). Then things really get complicated when a charismatic second God of Death turns up, bringing with him another Death Note book and introducing TV idol Misa (Erika Toda) to the deadly game.

The compelling puzzle-plot takes all manner of unexpected turns, reaching a satisfying conclusion while still leaving the door open for a third instalment, L Save The World, which is coming to the ICA in November.
