Synopsis

A.D. 2071, on the eve of Halloween, a terrorist incident takes place on Freeway 1 in a Mars crater. A tanker trailer has exploded, killing and injuring more than 500 people. The damage extends beyond one kilometre from the centre of explosion. The use of a biological or chemical weapon is heavily suspected. The Martian government announces a W300 000 000 reward.

Short of funds as usual, Spike Spiegel and his crew of bounty hunters (Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Ed and Ein) on the Bebop are lured by the staggering amount. As the Bebop crew pieces the information together, the mystery begins to take shape. A suspect who died a long time ago. A pharmaceutical conglomerate. A special unit of the military. And a mysterious round capsule... It is becoming obvious that there was more to this incident than a random terrorist attack...
