Synopsis

Featuring an all-star cast, COUPLES RETREAT sees four Midwestern couples embark on the trip of lifetime to a luxury island paradise. While one couple is there to work on their marriage, the other three set out to jet-ski, enjoy the spa and have some fun in the sun. However, they soon discover that participation in the resort's unconventional 'couple's therapy' is anything but optional and suddenly, their group-rate vacation comes at a price!

Dave (Vince Vaughn) and Ronnie (Malin Akerman) are the social epicentre of their group of friends, and over the years they've built a full life through commitment to their kids, friends and work. By contrast, their friends Jason (Jason Bateman) and Cynthia (Kristen Bell) are at a crossroads, and it's all or nothing. And if it's nothing, they will all be sent home. The couples soon find out that not everything is as it seems, especially in their own relationships. What follows is a hilarious and heartfelt look at real world problems faced by all couples.
