Synopsis

Kiselyak's engaging documentary charts the making of ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, which succeeded, like no other, in bringing mental health issues to the very forefront of the public conscience. With interviews from author Ken Kesey, producer Michael Douglas, director Milos Forman and members of the cast. Shooting entirely on location at The Oregon State Residential Psychiatric Hospital, the cast, crew and patients effectively lived and worked as one. The contrast between the progressive regime of the time and the heightened tension and bureaucracy that Kiselyak experiences on returning to the hospital in 1988 is sobering.
