Synopsis
Based on a novel by Massimo Bontempelli called 'The Boy With Two Mothers', COMEDIE DE L'INNOCENCE is an intriguing psychological thriller by the prolific and universally recognised director Raoul Ruiz (TIME REGAINED), a Chilean living in exile in Paris for a quarter of a century.
The film stars two of France's most popular actresses, Isabelle Huppert (THE PIANO TEACHER and voted European Actress of the Year) and Jeanne Balibar (VA SAVOIR), and tells of Camille, who, on his ninth birthday, announces to his parents that he believes that they are not his 'true' mother and father and wants to return to his 'real' mother. He takes his mother to another apartment in the city whose owner lost her son a few years ago. He claims she is his mother...
