Synopsis

THE CITY is the debut movie of director-writer David Riker who shows the exploitation of immigrant workers in New York. The situations the immigrants are in are left unresolved, some may be lucky and make more of a life for themselves but the film implies most won't. What does come across strongly is the bond within the family and the community when a crisis happens.
