Synopsis
Kaprice Kea's vibrant film is the adventure of a British backpacker out-of-sorts with his own culture, who finds a deeper sense of purpose from a colourful, crazy and benign new reality he experiences in Thailand.
'Butterfly Man' is an endearing island term for someone who goes from 'lady-to-lady-to-lady'. So after splitting up with his girlfriend whilst on holiday in Thailand, a young English backpacker, Adam (Stuart Laing), meets and falls in love with a beautiful Thai girl, Em (Napakpapha Nakprasitte), on an island paradise.
However his world falls apart when he lies to her about another girl and she ends the relationship. Having screwed up, he has to confront who he is and what he really wants from her. But when he uncovers a fraudulent passport operation involving Em he is forced to warn and rescue her from a plot involving human trafficking.
