Synopsis

Rosalba (Licia Maglietta) is a middle-aged, bored but dutiful wife. On holiday with her family she is inadvertently left behind as the tour coach sets off without her. Her husband and children don't notice until it is too late and she is separated from them with little money.

Rosalba finds a cheap hotel to stay in and strikes up a friendship with a waiter. Hearing nothing from her family she decides to stay in Venice. Embracing her new life she gets herself a job in a local florist shop and even embarks on a new relationship moving in with the waiter. Meanwhile her husband hires an amateur detective to discover her whereabouts.
