Synopsis
'It's a strange world'!
In this bizarrely repellent, kinky thriller, Jeffrey Beaumont (Kyle MacLachlan) returns to his home town after being away and discovers a severed human ear in a field. Not satisfied with the police's pace, he and the police detective's daughter Sandy Williams (Laura Dern), carry out their own investigation. The object of his investigation turns out to be a beautiful and mysterious cabaret singer Dorothy Valence (Isabella Rossellini), involved with a violent and perversely evil man Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper).
The film's painful realism reminds us that we are not immune to the disturbing events which transpire in BLUE VELVET's sleepy community. There is a darker side of life waiting for us all.
