Synopsis
Writer/director Smita Bhide's debut is a story of urban dreams and frustrations with an imaginative spirit that lifts it above everyday reality, unveiling a rarely seen snapshot of daily life in Southall.
A young man, Mohan (Abhin Galeya), searches for escape from his overbearing friends and family. He finds it in an affair with the young nurse, Judy (Alice O'Connell), who is looking after his cantankerous - but temptingly wealthy - bedridden Auntie Kamla (Indira Joshi).
THE BLUE TOWER is a refreshing departure for British Asian Cinema and was Winner of Best UK Feature, Raindance Film Festival 2008.
