Synopsis
BLUE MOON is a love story for all ages, that blends comedy, drama and romance. Frank (Ben Gazzara) and Maggie (Rita Moreno) are a 65-year-old couple whose 40-year marriage is at a crossroad. They've just celebrated the christening of their first grandchild, retirement has begun for Frank and he is struggling for control of his life. In an effort to rekindle their love, Frank and Maggie drive to their lakeside vacation cottage. Frank continues to be uncommunicative, while Maggie longs for them to remember what they once meant to each other.
In the middle of the night, destiny arrives in the form of a 25 year-old couple, Mac (Brian Vincent) and Peggy (Alanna Ubach), who are undergoing a relationship crisis of their own.
In the course of one night, through a series of sometimes comic, sometimes dramatic episodes, including flashbacks through their past, both couples have the chance to learn from each other and appreciate the true value of their love.
