Synopsis

THE BLIND SIDE features the remarkable true story of All-American football star Michael Oher. When Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) discovers a teenager, Michael Oher, surviving the harsh realities of a life on the street, she strikes up a conversation. Learning that Michael is in her daughter's class at school, Leigh Anne is shocked this teenager is only wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the middle of winter. Acting on impulse she immediately invites him in to stay with her family that night.

Leigh-Anne's initial kindness develops into something far more substantial, as concerned about Michael welfare, he stays and becomes part of the Tuohy family despite their different backgrounds. Faced with a whole new set of challenges, Michael's presence involves the family in some insightful self discoveries as the family help Michael achieve his full potential both on and off the football field.
