Synopsis

AMERICAN PIMP documents the phenomenon of the black urban pimp. From the 1970's to current, a series of pimps, "Rosebud", "Fillmore Slim" and "Bishop Don Magic Juan", are analyzed and interviewed. Their histories, habits, and practices are all caught on camera providing rare access to this dangerous, unstable industry.
