Synopsis

Director Timur Bekmambetov (WANTED, NIGHT WATCH) presents an original take on the secret life of the United States of America’s 16th president. When Abraham Lincoln is a young boy he sees his mother being killed by a supernatural creature. The shock of losing his mother and the way she dies, fuels Abraham’s passion to avenge her death.

It leads him on a path to an ongoing war, and ultimately to the presidency, as he chronicles his actions in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.

Statesmen by day, hunter by night, President Lincoln sets out to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers.

Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton (producer) and Timur Bekmambetov bring a fresh voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire. Based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith, the film stars Benjamin Walker as Lincoln and co-stars Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Rufus Sewell.
