Synopsis

Loosely based on Sideny Lumet's 12 ANGRY MEN (1957), 12 is set in present day Moscow when the fate of a young Chechen (Apti Magamaev), accused of murdering his step-father, a Russian army officer, is in the hands of 12 jurors.

While the accused is awaiting their verdict and has flashbacks of his traumatic experience of war, these 12 totally different male jurors are locked in a school gym that is serving as the temporary jury room. The film follows each juror as they deliberate on the case round a table and ultimately must reach a unanimous decision on the fate of the accused.
