Review:
The fifth volume of the tenth and final season of STARGATE SG1 features the episodes TALION, FAMILY TIES, DOMINION and UNENDING. Once again STARGATE never fails to excite and provide some excellent adventures as well as more than a touch of humour. This final season 10 disc features some great episodes especially the final UNENDING. This is a perfect story idea as in one way it does provide a possible ending and at the same time goes back on itself and opens the way to the forthcoming STARGATE movies.
TALION
An intense episode when a rebel Jaffa warlord bombs a Jaffa summit and then comes to Earth to offer his services to Stargate command. Teal'c is out for some serious revenge and leaves Stargate command to go on a lone vengeance mission.
FAMILY TIES
Vala's estranged father arrives on Earth much to Vala's disapproval and with the approval ofStargate command settles into retirement however it seems he has a shady past as an intergalactic conman and is actually on Earth to set up another scam.
DOMINION
Quite a complicated episode but none the less important one featuring the ever evil but entertaining Ba'al plus the gorgeous but even more evil Adria. You have to watch this one carefully to follow the plot - but it's worth it!
UNENDING
So here it is, the final episode of the final season of Stargate. But as we now know there are more outings for the team as the franchise moves to direct to DVD movies. This landmark episode sees the end of the Asgard and then during an attack on the Odyssey by the Ori the SG1 team trap themselves in a time bubble (still on board the ship) in an effort to give themselves time to find a way to survive the attack. However this takes a little longer than anticipated and many years pass as the team basically get old together. This is not the end of course as they finally find a way to reverse time and everything will be forgotten by all - except for...Teal'c!
