Review:
Season 4 opens with the second part of the adventure ADRIFT continuing on from the cliff-hanger of the final episode of season 3. We see how the city of Atlantis, now adrift in space, finds a new source of power and a new home planet. We also find out the fate of Elizabeth Weir and see Samantha Carter cross over from STARGATE SG 1 to take over command in LIFELINE.

The episode REUNION gives us further insight into Ronan's background when he finds other survivors from his home planet. In DOPPLEGANGER Sheppard becomes the bad guy, or at least seems to, as he enters the nightmares of his colleagues as a pretty nasty character!

This is an excellent star to the new season of ATLANTIS with plenty of action from the word go. Although it's a shame to see Weir leave the show, at least for now, It's good to see Carter on the show in a regular part.

ADRIFT
After the city is blasted into space Atlantis drops out of hyperspace and starts to drift directly into the path of an asteroid belt. Sheppard now in command looks to Rodney for support as an injured Weir's condition rapidly deteriorates.

LIFELINE
While Samantha Carter searches for Atlantis, Sheppard and the team attempt to steal a ZPM from the replicators and use the reprogrammed nanites in Weir to try to destroy the replicators from within.

REUNION
As Carter takes command of Atlantis, Ronan is reunited with a group of Satedans who survived the war on his home world. As Ronan considers joining them to fight the Wraith it seems the Satedans have not been truthful about their allegiances.

DOPPELGANGER
While visiting an alien planet Sheppard and his team discover an unusual crystalline entity. After studying the entity back on Atlantis people begin to experience very real nightmares all involving Sheppard, which for some prove fatal.
