The U.S.S Voyager and its crew, captained by the Starfleet's first female commander Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), continue to explore the delta quadrant in 26 brand new episodes. A host of new faces join the existing characters from the first series, culminating in a season set to push story lines into new realms of excitement. The season 2 DVD boxset is a 7 disc bonanza of thrilling adventures and over an hour of superb extra features exclusive to DVD, including "Designing the U.S.S Voyager" - an extra not included on the generic US release.

Highlights of the extra features include:

"A Day in the Life of Ethan Phillips" - a rare glimpse into a day on the set in which Phillips reveals the lengthy makeup process and shooting schedule involved in making a Voyager episode.

"Red Alert: Visual Effects Season 2" - Visual effects producer Dan Curry explores the making of several amazing visual effects, including the landing of Voyager in "The 37's" and the explosion action in "Basics".

"Designing the U.S.S Voyager" - an in-depth look at designing the Starship with veteran Star Trek artist Rich Sternbach. Including rare photos and drawings this is an extra not included in the generic U.S. release.

STAR TREK VOYAGER: SEASON 2 is presented in innovative collectors packaging and contains over 19 hours of episodes remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, as well as brand new featurettes and exclusive interviews with the cast and producers.

STAR TREK VOYAGER: SEASON 2 (1995-1996) details the incredible journeys of the Starfleet's most adventurous starship, the U.S.S Voyager, led by Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew).

Highlights include 'Projections', where Illusion and reality collide for the Doctor played by the ever popular Robert Picardo, while in 'Parturition', Neelix, played by Ethan Phillips and Paris played by Robert Duncan McNeill crash land on a toxic planet. 'Non Sequitur' sees Harry Kim finding himself 70,000 light years from Voyager - back in 24th century San Francisco; while in 'Maneuvers' the treacherous Seska captures and tortures Chakotay, a role commanded by Robert Beltran. The series also counts among its star-studded cast; Tim Russ as Lieutenant Tuvok, Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, Garrett Wang as Ensign Harry Kim and Jennifer Lien as Kes.

"A Special Text Trivia Version of 'The 37's'": this fun option allows viewers to watch the episode with fascinating trivia on Amelia Earhart, the 37's and lots of Star Trek-related topics.
