Synopsis

With a regular supporting cast that includes Lisa Edelstein, Robert Sean Leonard, Jennifer Morrison and Omar Epps, Laurie stars as the extremely quirky but talented diagnostician Dr Gregory House. Inspired by The Diagnosis Column in the New York Times Magazine, which focuses on unusual medical cases, House is an innovative take on the traditional American medical drama from executive producers Katie Jacobs, David Shore, Paul Attanasio and Bryan Singer.

Hugh Laurie (Sense and Sensibility, 101 Dalmatians, Stuart Little, Blackadder), who over the years has become a British national treasure was relatively unknown in the States until House but has now become one of our greatest acting exports - winning Golden Globes in 2006 and 2007 for Best Actor in a Television Drama. Executive Producer Bryan Singer was so impressed by Laurie's American accent in his original audition for House - he did not realise he was English!
